Payment and Quote Terms.

Quoted jobs are payable on day of installation. Payment terms are strictly on completion of work. A compounding book keeping and administration fee of 5% per month will be charged for all late payments and on all partially paid bills. Payment to be made within 7 days from date of invoice for unquoted work , or by prior arrangement before work commences. All materials remain the property of Astra electrical until final bill is paid in full and all debts are settled.
All legal and debt collection costs incurred in recovery of overdue accounts are to be met by the customer, by either accepting for us to carry out the work, accepting our quotes/estimates or signing our job cards, the customer is accepting these terms and conditions. All verbal prices or verbal estimates are to be treated as an estimate only as the exact price of materials cannot be worked out without getting prices from suppliers and then doing a written quote. Labour can only be estimated as it cannot be accurately worked out until the work has been completed. If invoice is not paid within 7 days of invoice a 5% compounding interest charge for bookkeeping and administration per month will be charged until account is paid in full.

This will be a payment claim made under the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004.

Limitation of Liability

It is an essential pre-condition to you using our website and other services, that you accept and agree that astra electrical is not legally responsible for any loss or damage you might incur in relation to your use of the website or other trade services, whether from errors or from any omissions in our documentation or information. Any goods or services we offer or from any other use of the website. This includes your use of any third party content, links, advertising or comments by others. Your use of any or the information or materials on this website is entirely at your own personal risk, for which we shall not be liable.

It is your own responsibility to ensure that any services, products or information available through this website meets your specific, personal requirements. You acknowledge that any such information and materials may contain errors or possible inaccuracies and we expressly exclude any liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Competition and Consumer Act

For the purposes of Schedule 2 of the Australian Consumer Law, in particular Sections 51 to 53, 64 and 64A of Part 3-2, Division 1, Subdivision A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), www.astraelectrical.com.au liability for any breach of the terms of this agreement is limited to only: the re-supplying of the goods or services to you again; the replacement of the goods; or the payment of the cost of having the goods or services supplied to you again. We are not responsible for any manufacturer’s warranties and manufacturer’s warranty work will be charged to the customer.

You must be over 18 years of age to make use of this website and to purchase any goods or services.

Delivery of Goods

Physical goods may be delivered by either Australia Post and/or another reputable courier company. Deliveries are processed promptly upon receipt of full payment. Delivery may take between 7 and 14 days, depending on the delivery option chosen. Damaged or lost orders should be resolved with Australia Post or the courier company directly and we accept no responsibility for goods that are damaged in transit or not received. Replacement of damaged or lost items will be made at the discretion of www.astraelectrical.com.au

Digital goods will be delivered immediately. Please be aware that there are inherent risks associated with downloading any software and digital goods from websites. If you have any technical issues downloading any of our goods, please contact us immediately so we may try and assist you.

Returns and Refunds

www.astraelectrical.com.au always handles returns and processes refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Protection legislation.

If you wish to return any of your uninstalled orders, please notify us within 7 days of purchase with a legitimate and valid reason for return. If for any reason we are unable to resolve your complaint or further assist you, we will process a refund, upon timely receipt of the returned goods that were purchased. Only unopened goods with packaging in good condition will be refunded in full. Refunds will be promptly processed and payment made by the same method that you made your payment. All refunds will be made at the discretion of www.astraelectrical.com.au

Customers responsibilities

The customer is responsible for clearing the work area to ensure it does not cause quoted work to exceed the quoted times. If our staff have to clear the area, so we can perform our quoted work then additional charges may be incurred by the customer, we also accept no liability for any damage caused should we have to move things to clear the area so it is safe for us to work, if customers things cannot be removed the customer is responsible for ensuring that they are covered and protected from any possible damage .

The customer is responsible to ensure we have a safe area to carry out work. We accept no liability for any damage caused by the customer to their own possession, appliances or equipment when they are cleaning up after we have completed our work. Any damage caused by our staff whilst they are cleaning up will be covered by our insurance.

The customer is responsible for covering the area and other items where work is to be carried out, to protect their personal effects, furniture and equipment that they could not move. We accept no liability for any damage caused by dust or debris to customers personal effects, furniture or equipment that has not been covered by customer before work commenced. While we will try to clean up the area we have worked the customer will need to properly clean the area.

Excavation Work such as Trenching, Digging and Back Filling

Underground construction involves risk of damage to existing underground infrastructure such as electrical conduits and wiring, Telephone cabling, gas and plumbing services, in addition to the possibility of encountering unexpected subsoil conditions including, but not limited to, rock, clay, aquifers, archaeological items, existing or abandoned construction elements and sink holes. Reasonable effort has been made to locate or predict said risk but no warranty is expressed or implied as to what will be discovered or encountered during construction. This Proposal is an estimate only and is based on similar projects where adverse conditions were not encountered. Any such adverse conditions which arise during excavation or construction will require additional work which will be billed at time and materials above and in addition to the amount shown on this proposal. By accepting this proposal, customer agrees to these potential additional charges which may include work by others to carry out rectification work when necessary in the opinion of the contractor. Soil will settle and will possibly need to be top dressed once this happens, this additional work has not been allowed for and additional costs will be incurred for this rectification work to be done.

Whilst the utmost care will be taken when digging and back filling trenches. No allowance has been made for repairs to damaged underground services as there is no way to tell where they are located. Back filling will always need tidying up by customer as the soil will never go back into the trench perfectly. Additional costs will be incurred by customer for any repairs to electrical services damaged whilst digging underground trenching. Plumbing and any other services that need to be repaired will need to be billed to council. Astra Electrical accepts no liability for damage to underground services.

This agreement and this website are subject to the laws of Queensland and Australia. If there is a dispute between you and www.astraelectrical.com.au that results in litigation then you must submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.


Astra Electrical has a 12 Month warranty on labour only.

The Manufacturer’s warranty only covers replacement part or parts and does not cover the labour to install parts; this will need to be paid for by the customer.
